The Vibrant, colorful Cultural Show will feature Sri Lankan singers, dancers and the performance art troupe Upuli and Channa. (Monday, May 28th beginning at 7PM)

Channa Wijewardene and his troupe are one of Sri Lanka's most outstanding dance teams who have won acclaim and appreciation not only at home but also globally at the many stages they have performed, bringing fame to their motherland.

Channa who specialises in creating his own modern ballet combining all forms of traditional Kandyan and Sabaragamuwa style which is enthusiastically performed by his graceful female dancers. His wife Upuli is an accomplished dancer herself hailing from a well-known family of traditional dancers.

The music which is specially arranged to add exotic colour to the choreography is a fusion of music Kandyan, low country and Sabaragamuwa film music and drum patterns. Arranged to suit the contemporary scenario in music, Channa has distinguished himself in this type of modern ballet which he chooses to call 'Body Language.'

This is certainly a show not to be missed!
